Tamatori Hime Tattoos Look Great As Lower Back Tattoos

By Jenny Cole

Tamatori hime tattoos are so varied and include so many images they can be applied in many areas of the body and in many sizes. The images can also spread over many areas by connecting the images or by drawing one image over a long section of the body. The dragon and its tail can wrap round a limb or the torso,it can also stretch over a long area from side to side or from top to bottom.

The imagery of the brave princess nearly giving her life rescuing the sacred bead is one,the dragon chasing and fighting her is another. These images can be combined or the two main characters can and often are shown as two separate entities.

Hime hears this and decides to rescue the bead, the problem being that the dragons of the lake believe what ever falls in the lake is rightfully theirs so not surprisingly they attack hime as she tries to swim free.

It can also be a small and basic drawing or can be very detailed showing bone structure or flesh and scales. The detail depends on the wearers wishes and the abilities of the tattooist. Of course a basic design can be made more complicated if wished with more detail and more background added over a period of time.

They see the sacrifice she was willing to commit for the sake of the greater good, namely rescuing the bead and decide to make her immortal, princess hime. She then became the god for all the pearl divers and of course the focus for the Tamatori hime tattoos.

Different focuses could be the princess in the Tamatori hime tattoos, she is shown swimming or fighting with the dragons. She is often shown as a powerful focus point and as a heroine figure, almost sacrificing herself for what she believed in.

The designs can include the water and the scenery as well as other animals as well as the dragons. The self sacrifice and bravery is important to the scene as well.

With the dragon possibly wrapped around the leg or arm the tattoo can be seen all round the body. With the numerous variations of the designs there are numerous variations of locations.

As always do your research on both the designs and the person who will apply the designs. Study the characters for their meanings and history and then design your image, with work you could end up with a special and striking design. - 16651
