The Best Comedies Released This Year: Funny Videos

In 2008 American filmakers provided movie goers with well over 275 films. In this group of over 300 films, about seventy will be categorized as comedies. Let's name a few of the top comedies that you should see.

FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Following a break up with his girlfriend Sarah, a TV sitcom actress, Peter (Jason Segal) decides to escape to the Hawaiian Islands to recover from his depression. Of course, when he checks into the resort hotel, he runs into Sarah and her new lover, who is a mega rock star. The stage is set for a fun filled romantic comedy.

GET SMART: Maxwell Smart (agent 86) is here again, and everything is under "CONTROL". The evil organization (KAOS) vs the good guys (CONTROL), gadgets galore, and all the great one liners. It is fun to have another glimpse back at the world of KAOS and CONTROL.

HAMLET 2: Unsucessful actor Dana Marshz has settled into teaching theater classes at the high school to apathetic students. When a building is destroyed at the school, the powers to be feel the acting classes will have to go. Wanting to fight, he is determined to save the theater classes by producing Hamlet 2, a sequel to the original work, which he put to paper himself.

MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: This is the sequel to the hugely successful movie Madagascar. The four animal heroes, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo want to return to the the Central Park Zoo in NY, from their first adventure. As oppossed to going home, as the Penguins are up to their old tricks, they are off to have more adventures first.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Full time stoner Dale Denton, in a stroke of bad luck, has seen a bad police officer, and a big time dealer, kill someone. They see him witness the killing. Knowing they've seen him, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and takes off. The weed is so special, that it is possible to find out who has it. The game is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are on the run.

ROLE MODELS: Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (William Scott), a couple of energy drink sales people, are going to see some hard jail time after trashing the company truck. The way they can avoid jail time is by doing communuty service. Their task will be to mentor some kids as sort of a big brother. The stage is set for some good comedy.

STEP BROTHERS: Two forty year old child adults, who still live with their single parents, are going to share a bedroom because their parents have wed, you have one crazy situation. Put Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly acting as these two idiots, and this has the makings for a very fun film. This movie is a sure fire bet for a good laugh in 2008.

TROPIC THUNDER: Overloded with good actors the genre of the film is a classic spoof. In order to inspire his underachieving super stars to make a true epic masterpiece, the frantic, and abused, director Damien Cockburn into the wild jungle, leaving them to fend for themselves. The plan is to shock them into the realism needed for a graet war film, which will be caught on hidden cameras in the area. When the director dies unexpectadly by stepping on a real land mine, the actors are now truely on their own, and they are covinced everything is just an act, but things are getting very, very real. Stars include Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Tom Cruise.

ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills are piling up and Zack and Miri, life long platonic friends who live together, need to come up with some cash soon. What's their solution? That's obvious, make a dirty movie. As one can expect this is a perfect enviornment for a great comedy.
