A Complete Guide To Cleaning UGG Boots

By Kenneth Elliott

I got a lot of question on one of my blogs wanting to know how to clean UGG boots. So, I wanted to put together a small tutorial for help. In order to complete this guide you will need a UGGs cleaning kit, a sponge, a cloth and some water.

Sheepskin care kit from Ugg Australia. This care kit includes everything you need to clean and protect your UGG twin-faced sheepskin boots and slippers. This kit includes UGG Cleaner & Conditioner, UGG Water & Stain Repellent, a freshener, a brush, and a stone to revive the natural luster of your twin-faced sheepskin boots. This care kit is recommended for use only on twin-faced sheepskin boots and slippers within the Classic, Ultra and Ultimate collections.

Below are the step by step instructions that you will need to follow to clean your UGG boots.

Step 1 - Use a cloth and lightly moisten the outside your boots with cold water. DONT submerge the boots in the water.

Now it is time to mix the cleaner. The cleaner is to strong by itself. It needs to be diluted in a cup one part cleaner and one part water.

3. Apply the diluted cleaner to the sponge that I spoke of in the beginning. Gently rub the cleaner into the boot working out any dirt. Don't rub hard as you may damage the leather nap.

4. Rinse the sponge out to remove the solution. Make sure all the solution is gone by rinsing a couple of times. Now, use the sponge to rinse off the solution from the boot.

5. Stuff paper or something in your boots to keep the shape while you wait for the boots to dry. Let the boots sit out in direct sunlight or direct heat as they dry.

This is the final step. You need the stone from the kit and a brush. Brush the boot to restore the nap.

Now you may want to get something to take care of the smell inside the boot. There is a spray inside of the kit that will help out with this. Just spray it inside the boot and forget about it. If you don't want to use the spray in the kit you can also use febreeze. Spray and forget it. - 16651
