Movie Hits From 2008 By Dev: Movie Reviews

I have made a short list of the more popular movies put up on the big screen in 2008. These are some of the films I enjoyed watching this year. I'm sure that you can find some films here that you will enjoy.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS: It was a wild night in Las Vegas. Young partiers Joy and Jack get up the next day and find out that they are married. After winning a huge jackpot, each thinks they deserve the prize, so they try to settle it in court. The strange ruling is that they must stay together for six months, and see if they can settle their differences. With lots of money at stake, they conspire to make each other quit the marriage, as they are both determined to get the money for themselves.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Underacheiveing pothead Dale has just witnessed a crooked cop, and a powerful drug dealer, murder someone. They see him witness the murder. Realizing this, he is so shaken he throws down his joint, a rare blend namend pineapple express, and takes off. The pot is so unique, that it is possible to find out who has it. The game is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are on the run.

HAMLET 2: Failed actor Mr. Marshz has found himself teaching the high school theater classes to uninterested students. The school loses a building due to destruction, so the powers to be feel the useless theater coarses must be eliminated. With a challenge now in front of him, he tries to keep the school from dropping his classes by producing Hamlet 2, an original interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, which he put to paper himself.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his missing brother, a science professor goes on a mission that sends him into the depths of our planet. This is a new version of the 1959 production, which was about the classic work by celbrated writer Jules Verne. This sci-fi adventure stars Brendan Fraser, and Anita Briem.

TROPIC THUNDER: Starting with an incredible cast we soon see this movie is a claasic parody of popular war films. To get a realistic performance from his crew to see the movie be a success, the seemingly bold director into the middle of nowhere, and leaves them there by themselves. The goal is to shock them so they will produce a work of genius, that will be recorded on hidden cameras. Unbelievabley, as the director blows up on an old French land mine, the crew is left on its own, and they think there acting, when things start to get very real. Great cast with incredible make up for Robert Downey Jr.and Tom Cruise.

WALL-E: This film is a science fiction adventure in animation. Mankind has left Earth, since it had become a pile of rubbish. Wall-E, a trash collecting robot, is assigned to continue cleaning. Years later, when a robot namend Eve shows up searching to see if the planet can sustain any life, Wall-E is finally not alone. Eventually, when Eve is recovered by the craft that sent her, Wall-E sneaks aboard, and starts an incredible adventure.

Jumper: Nearing death by drowning, David realizes he has an unbelievable ability. He can transport himself anywhere, anytime. He then comes to learn that there are others with this capability. Unfortunately, after a few years of fun, he is exposed to hunters that are trying to rid the world of jumpers. Now he is in a fight for survival, as the hunters want him dead.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This feature film tells a story about Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), who has been transformed into the Hulk. This feature film is about the comic legend, the Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller.

BOLT: Bolt: This film is an animated comedy. The star is dog actor Bolt, who plays the role of a dog that has super hero dog powers. The thing about Bolt is that he really thinks he has these powers. After he is unexpectedly finds himself in a real world situation, he realizes that he is just a dog. Needing to find his way home, he is aided by Mittens, the cat, and Rhino, the hampster.

Most people buy or rent films, and views them on their home entertainment system. A new way people are aquiring movies is by using down loading technologies off websites. The internet has many websites that offer downloading of virtually any movie ever made. - 16651
