Once you've thought enough about you it's time to consider the other side of the coin. Some companies really don't care about you to the extent of running a scam on you. How do you know who the good guys are. Take the time to do research on the company. Many local law enforcement agencys now have computer fraud departments which make their findings available free online-ah the irony. Consult the Better Business Bureau for complaints against any company you consider, in addition check the phonebook for the local FBI office as they monitor computer theft as well as fraud. All these resourses are available to you with little or no effort so use them.
